When the Kansas City Chiefs took the field for practice on Monday, there was a newcomer in the receiving corps. Matt Derrick of Chiefs Digest first reported the team signing former West Virginia wide receiver Jeff Weimer, and the team made it official, per Monday evening’s NFL Transactions Report.

Weimer took part in Monday’s practice, even catching a pass on the sideline with the third-team offense, securing the throw on the boundary
from rookie quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.
In 2025, Weimer caught 21 passes for 383 yards and scored twice for the Mountaineers over 12 games. The Chiefs have him listed at 6 feet 2 inches tall and 211 pounds.

2. Defensive back Chris Roland-Wallace hauled in an interception during 11-on-11 drills.
Roland-Wallace made one of the defensive plays of the morning when he corralled an interception during an 11-on-11 period. The third-year defensive back has been receiving an extended look in the slot over the summer, and with plays like Monday’s interception, he seems to be making the most of his opportunity.
Elsewhere on defense, rookie safety Xavier Nwankpa logged an interception in the end zone on a deep throw during 11-on-11 drills. Fellow rookie defensive back Zelmar Vedder also recorded an impressive play with a diving pass-breakup during an 11-on-11 period.
“Josh (Simmons) is a great player,” Karlaftis said. “You know, obviously had a great season last year, so that was out a few games and stuff like that. But you know, he’s a great player. You know, obviously, he’s strong as an Ox, and he’s got feet like a Ballerina. So you know, he’s very good and very talented. We’ve had our battles, and you know, we’ve talked, and iron sharpens iron. So, this is what this period is for us: getting better.”

Forbes magazine has released its tally of the highest-paid podcasters of 2026. No. 1 on the list is host Joe Rogan with his Spotify show “The Joe Rogan Experience.” That program brings in $82 million a year. So, yes, that’s more than many professional athletes make in a year.
As for Travis and Jason, they ranked No. 7 on Forbes’ tally with an estimated earnings of $35 million. They actually have Swift to thank too, at least partially.

“It was tough. I tried to get back into that flow-state zone really quickly because obviously you’re going through some pain,” Brown said in an interview with Mike Garafolo and Brian Baldinger, who were broadcasting from practice.
“The game is what it is, you’re going to get bumps and bruises, and you have to keep going. I know it’s practice, but I’m not coming out of practice. Thumb out of place? You keep going.”

On Monday, though, Payton said the Broncos are in “no hurry right now” to get Hill into their building. Payton, who coached the multi-position Hill for five seasons in New Orleans, noted that he would visit with the 35-year-old this weekend in Canton, Ohio, where both will be attending the Hall of Fame induction of former Saints quarterback Drew Brees.
“We’ll see where he’s at and kind of go from there,” Payton said. “The key thing is his health and where he’s at mentally. I don’t want to assume that he still wants to play. I haven’t had a chance to talk with him.”

Kansas City’s tight end depth has been poor for multiple seasons now, and it is not looking much better, and that is precisely why Gray could be a loser once camp and the preseason conclude.
If any player behind him in the depth chart can make any sort of immediate impact, or show that they can surpass him, the addition would be welcome by Chiefs Kingdom.
Gray has not been bad for Kansas City, but being a below-average run blocker and scheme-dependent pass catcher has not allowed the Chiefs to have much diversity from the primary backup for Travis Kelce.
