Former Duke star Brandon Ingram was recently traded to the Los Angeles Clippers, but he won’t be playing for a while, as he has had surgery for a partial Achilles tear and also a heel spur.
There’s not a ton of information about his status, but our guess, for what it’s worth, is that it’s not as serious as what Jayson Tatum went through with his Achilles injury.
Still, the estimated recovery time is 6-9 months, so it’s no minor injury, and of course, we don’t know what the heel injury requires. And
Ingram is now 29. It’s not old by NBA standards, and both training and rehab methods are vastly improved.
On the bright side, the surgery was in May, and the recovery is going well, so hopefully, he’ll be available before too much longer.
