Yesterday, the team announced that they would be wearing their throwback uniforms twice next season. First, in Week 6 when they host the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday Night Football, and again in their regular-season finale vs. the Los Angeles Chargers. Then this morning, they announced that they would be wearing their Midnight Navy alternates in their primetime matchup in Week 3 vs. the Los Angeles Rams and again on Christmas Day vs. the Buffalo Bills.

In total, we will see the Broncos in their road whites nine times, home orange four times, midnight navy blue alternates twice, and their throwbacks twice. Again, they will alternate the pants and sock combo throughout the year, so we should see something a little different most weeks.
It is a little bit of a shame that they are wearing their beautiful throwbacks only twice this season. You can make a strong argument that those should be the Broncos’ primary home and away uniforms, but it seems the team is content to save them for a few special occasions each season.
As for the alternates, I would imagine they will wear their navy blue helmets vs. the Rams and the white helmets vs. the Bills on Christmas Day, but we shall see. Also, it’s a little odd that they will only wear their home orange uniforms four times this season, but they need to give a few of those up to wear the throwbacks/alternates, so it is what it is.
