Rutgers gymnastics kicked off its 2026 season this afternoon at Jersey Mike’s Arena, taking down Temple and Brockport at home to win the Rutgers Tri with a score of 195.400. This was the highest score in program history for a season-opening meet.
Gabrielle Dildy led the Scarlet Knights by posting a score of 39.325 across events to win the all-around crown. She posted 9.800s on beam and vault, a career-high 9.825 on bars, and a 9.900 on floor, leading all performers on floor and tying for first on bars.
Emily Leese made her return to competition after missing all of last season with an injury. She won the vault event with a 9.900 and posted a 9.825 on floor to go along with it. Delaney Adrian led the scoring on beam with a 9.825, while also posting a career-high 9.875 on floor and a 9.775 on bars.
The Scarlet Knights won all four events, and a Rutgers gymnast had the highest score in each event. Several others made their collegiate or event debuts and posted high scores, including Campbell Early, Vivienne Larsen, and Raegan Schenkel. Matis Rains also tied her career-high with a 9.800 on bars.
Rutgers will next take its first road trip of the season, battling Ball State in Indiana next Sunday at 1 PM.
