According to Shams Charania, the Utah Jazz signed Keyonte George to a five-year contract extension worth $157.5M.
The deal has no player or team options.
It’s a fantastic deal for both Keyonte George and the Utah Jazz. George worked hard and took his game to another level last season, and he gets a big reward.
For the Jazz they get five years of Keyonte George without having to worry about negotiations for a long time. They are also getting him for less than what Walker Kessler was asking at just under $32M per season.
The contract also includes bonuses and incentives.
This is a win-win for both sides as they now look to the future with an exciting roster and a core 5 of Keyonte George, Darryn Peterson, Ace Bailey, Lauri Markkanen, and Jaren Jackson Jr.
It’s looking like the rebuild is now paying off in huge dividends and Utah has the ability to compete at the highest level year after year.
