Chelsea Women return to Stamford Bridge to host Paris FC in their second group-stage match of the UEFA Women’s Champions League. After being held to a frustrating 1–1 draw away at FC Twente, Sonia Bompastor’s
side now need a win to regain control of the group and steady their European campaign.
The visitors, meanwhile, come into this one looking to make a statement. Paris FC opened their campaign with a 2–2 home draw against OH Leuven and will know that anything gained in London would be a bonus in their pursuit of qualification.

Chelsea team news: The Twente draw wasn’t good enough by Chelsea’s standards as the performance demanded more ruthlessness. At home, Sonia’s message will be simple: control the game and finish the chances, hopefully in a much better manner than we did last weekend against Tottenham in the Women’s Super League.
As shown in our last outing Lucy Bronze and Niamh Charles are back in the squad, with Sjoeke Nüsken and Catarina Macario fine to feature. Sandy Baltimore is also available after missing out on the 1-0 win over Spurs last Sunday.

Paris FC team news: Paris FC experienced a busy summer of change, losing several key figures from last season including forwards Mathilde Bourdieu and Kessya Bussy, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and long-time captain Gaëtane Thiney who retired from the sport. In response the club focused on rebuilding with a younger core, bringing in goalkeeper Mylène Chavas from Real Madrid, defender Anaële Le Moguédec from Reims, and forward Lorena Azzaro from Strasbourg. All three have already become regular contributors under head coach Sandrine Soubeyrand.
The Parisian side currently sit second in Division 1 Féminine but have not been flawless, suffering a 3-1 defeat to Nantes before their 2-2 draw with Leuven in the Champions League. There are no reported injuries for them ahead of the trip to London, and Soubeyrand is expected to field her strongest available XI.
Previously: A Sam Kerr hat-trick topped off by Sophie Ingle at its very end.
