You won’t see this very often, but in Saturday’s Countdown to Craziness, Duke will bring in a Top 20 team to take on the Blue Devils.
And that team is… also the Blue Devils.
Check out the rosters:
BLUE
- Cayden Boozer
- John Blackwell
- Dame Sarr
- JoJo Boumtje Boumtje
- Maxime Meyer
- Brock Davis
- Jacob Theodosiou
WHITE
- Deron Rippey
- Caleb Foster
- Bryson Howard
- Cameron Williams
- Patrick Ngongba
- Sebastian Wilkins
- Nick Arnold
That’s completely insane. We’d have to go with the White team, but Sarr might be able to lock up Howard… or Foster… or Rippey.
Seriously, though, it’s kind of fascinating, and we’ll get a chance to see everyone. One of the key factors Saturday may be this: someone has to control Pat Ngongba, who has really
redefined his body. He’s in great shape, arguably the best shape of his Duke career.
That’s probably true of Foster, Sarr, and Boozer as well (Kon Knueppel is in the NBA now, but he looks likean absolute beast).
Also, keep in mind that Drew Scharnowski is not going to play because he’s getting over a knee issue. Even so, that’s still a ton of talent. Watching this team develop is going to be a lot of fun, and it starts Saturday.
