The New York Jets had a Week 9 bye. The team entered the week holding the second spot in the 2026 NFL Draft. By not playing and not losing, the team had a slight drop.
- Saints 1-8
- Titans 1-8
- Jets 1-7
- Dolphins 2-7
- Giants 2-7
- Browns 2-6
- Raiders 2-6
- Cardinals 2-5
- Bengals 3-6
- Commanders 3-6
- Ravens 3-5
- Falcons (pick traded to Rams) 3-5
- Texans 3-5
- Cowboys 3-4-1
- Vikings 4-4
- Panthers 5-4
- Chiefs 5-4
- Bears 5-3
Picks 19 through 32 are determined
based on the results of Playoff games.
The Jets have games remaining with three of the other five teams currently holding a top six pick. In fact, their first game after the bye comes against the 2-6 Browns next week. All of this is to say there is a long way to go when it comes to Draft positioning.
Of course for the Jets the focus now is on young players performing well and growing. If that happens, wins are likely to come. That won’t help Draft positioning but surely would be a good sign for the franchise.
