Wide receiver is one of the most wide open positions on the Boilermakers offense because honestly, don’t look it up and name for me the top three wide receivers on this team as of this writing. Go on…I’ll wait. That’s what I thought. There’s
going to be plenty of opportunities and Johnson will be given every chance. Freshmen always face a huge challenge going from HS to college but it’s not unheard of.
Thoughts
I assume that ultimately Johnson will redshirt. He will need to do what most incoming freshman do and transform his body and learn the playbook. There’s no shame in that. Check back on him next year.
