Bayern Munich dropped points for the second week in a row after drawing 2-2 in their visit to Hamburg SV. The match presented several refereeing decisions that went against Bayern, which left players, staff and fans disgruntled. The frustration was enough for Bayern players and coaching staff to confront match referee Harm Osmers in the referee’s dressing room after the final whistle, per a Bild report (via @iMiaSanMia):
Immediately after the final whistle, members of Bayern’s coaching staff went
to the referee’s dressing room, surrounded Harm Osmers and argued with him.
One Bayern player who was not able to hide his frustration was allegedly striker Harry Kane who was seen “walking past shaking his head” and declaring the referee’s performance had been “the worst I’ve ever met in football” during a match that left players and fans alike thinking that Osmers mistakes have played a role in the final result.
If there will be a disciplinary action for Kane or Bayern coaching staff remains to be seen.
