The Buffalo Bills are off to a hot start under the direction of new head coach Joe Brady. At 3-0 and in first place in the AFC East, Bills Mafia should be excited for the team’s potential during the 2026 NFL season. All things are made easier when you have a quarterback named Josh Allen, who definitely lowers the learning curve for new coaches.
The first two games saw Buffalo deploy an offensive juggernaut, while Week 3 saw the defense pick up the pieces to more fully complement the offense’s needs in the crunch. At the end of the day, Brady will remind anyone listening that they’re 1-0 because it’s a week-to-week league. Every game has its own narrative, and what worked before may not carry over to the future.
But what about Week 4 — do recent trends hold true?
These teams are very different from their 2025 versions. Recall that they traded wins last season, with the road team walking out victorious each time.
Last season’s AFC representatives in the Super Bowl look nothing like the conference champions they were last season. Most alarming is the play by quarterback Drake Maye, who was in the running for MVP during the 2025 NFL season. As for Allen, he continues garnering MVP consideration.
The Patriots are now facing a top-seeded regular-season schedule, and they aren’t likely to catch anyone by surprise. They’ve dug themselves a 1-2 hole that could prove challenging to escape. That is, unless they recapture some of last season’s magic and good fortune.
