Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta is tipping Lamine Yamal to keep on improving and go on to “become one of the greatest” players in the world
.Yamal has long been tipped for superstardom and is currently
shining at Barcelona. He’s already won La Liga and Copa del Rey titles with the Catalan giants and is hoping for more silverware this season.
Iniesta thinks that the 18-year-old has all it takes to go down as one of the greats in the game but says he must challenge himself to keep on getting better every single year.
“Lamine has the potential to become one of the greatest. That’s the challenge he has ahead of him. To improve every year. He can do it, obviously, and we hope he continues to do so,” he told Catalunya Radio.
Iniesta also looked forwards to Barcelona’s next match against boyhood club Albacete. Real Madrid have already been dumped out of the tournament by Albacete, but Iniesta isn’t expecting another shock.
“Everyone is well aware of how the match in Albacete can be. The elimination of Madrid is enough. But if Barça is at their level, it is very difficult for Albacete to win,” he said.
