There was so much talk leading up to the NFL trade deadline about all of the moves the Tennessee Titans were going to make. There were so many players rumored to possibly be moved, like Arden Key, Chig
Okonkwo, Roger McCreary, Dre’Mont Jones, Calvin Ridley, Tony Pollard, and even Jeffery Simmons. In the end, only McCreary and Jones were moved at the deadline. The Titans only added one pick because the McCreary deal involved a pick swap.
This week, we asked if you were happy with what the Titans did at the deadline, and only 30% were:
It is hard to really know what other deals the Titans could have actually made. In order to trade a player, there has to be a team that wants that player. Maybe there just wasn’t any interest in the guys that didn’t get traded.
The one thing that I’d really be interested in knowing is if the Titans could have gotten the deal from the Dallas Cowboys for Simmons that they made for Quinnen Williams. It would have been hard for me to turn that one down, but I also understand why they didn’t want to trade Simmons.
We also had the standard confidence question, and 22% said they are confident in the direction the Titans are headed:
I still can’t vote yes there, but I will say that after listening to Mike Borgonzi’s press conference on Wednesday, I think they finally have someone competent as their general manager.
