Former UFC two-division champion, Henry Cejudo, will make his Real American Freestyle (RAF) debut as part of the upcoming RAF06 wrestling event on Feb. 28 at Mullett Arena in Tempe, Arizona. Standing across
the mat from “Triple C” will be UFC Hall of Famer and former WEC featherweight champion, Urijah Faber.
Faber, eight years older than Cejudo at 46, has not competed in MMA since losing to Petr Yan at UFC 245 back in late 2019 but remains active on the grappling circuit. “The California Kid” recently defeated Brazilian wunderkind Bibiano Fernandes at the ADXC 5 event in Abu Dhabi.
Additional RAF06 matchups include the battle between Muhammad “The Punisher” Mokaev and Bryce “The Misfit” Meredith. Elsewhere in the ”Grand Canyon State” lineup, longtime UFC veteran Clay “The Carpenter” Guida returns to the wrestling mats against an opponent to be announced in the coming weeks.
Next up for RAF is the RAF05 card on Jan. 10 in Sunrise, headlined by the 195-pound showdown pitting former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold against three-time welterweight title challenger Colby Covington. In addition, UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan collides with PFL veteran Lance Palmer not long after UFC middleweight Bo Nickal gets back on the mats opposite Yoel Romero.
