Not too much transactional news has broken this week (the story re: Emmanuel Clase and Luis L. Ortiz is in a whole different bucket), with just a couple of very small pieces crossing the wire. In one of the first trades of the offseason, the Rays sent outfielder Kameron Misner, a former first-round pick, to the Royals yesterday in exchange for cash or a player to be named later. Also of note, Kyle Hendricks, a wily 12-year veteran, announced his retirement. The right-handed Hendricks never had great
stuff, but he always impressed with his ability to get hitters out nonetheless, and was also a major part of the 2016 Cubs championship run.
On the site today, we’ll continue our main offseason series, with Nick Power looking at Cody Bellinger, now a free agent, and Kevin delivering the report card on Jasson Domínguez’s 2025 campaign. Also, Nolan will look at the Yankee prospects still plying their trade in the Arizona Fall League, with top pitching prospect Bryce Cunningham continuing to struggle.
Questions/Prompts:
1. Kyle Tucker is likely to earn the largest guarantee of any free agent this offseason, but who do you think will sign for the second-highest amount?
2. Any New York Giants fans with thoughts and feelings about the dismissal of Brian Daboll?
