Bayern Munich and FC Bayern II coach Holger Seitz have officially decided for the manager to step down from his position per a release from the club. It does appear as if Seitz will maintain some role within the club, though:
Holger Seitz will no longer be the coach of FC Bayern Amateurs in the 2026/27 season. This is the result of constructive discussions between the sporting management, the campus leadership, and the 51-year-old in recent weeks. During the summer break, both sides will continue
discussions regarding what role Seitz can play for the record German champions in the future. His successor as head coach of the reserve team is expected to be appointed soon.
Bayern Munich director of youth development Jochen Sauer expressed his appreciation for Seitz as well.
“Holger has played a major role in the success story of our campus, not only as coach of our second team. He has guided and developed many players in the transition phase on their path to men’s football. We thank him both for his commitment as an amateur coach and for his great loyalty to FC Bayern, and we will now discuss the possibilities for his future at the club together,” Sauer said.
