Josh Hokit got his hands on the estimated payouts for UFC 327.
In the old days, commissions released official purses for every fighter stepping foot inside the cage; however, that information has since been removed from public eye, which means the “estimates” are a bunch of made-up numbers (some call them “educated guesses”) based on available information.
That hasn’t stopped Hokit from using it for his traveling circus.
Why the sudden Costa hate?
Probably because the Brazilian was complaining about the UFC 327 bonuses handed out last weekend in Miami. Hokit was able to bag two additional checks for his “Fight of the Night” opposite Curtis Blaydes. As for Costa, he picked up an extra $25,000 for knocking out Azamat Murzakanov, also at UFC 327.
“I was pissed off at [UFC] because of the bonus,” Costa said on “The Ariel Helwani Show.” “I really think I deserved that bonus. It’s $100K. I don’t think Hokit deserved two bonuses. When I feel injustice and unfair, this triggers inside me the worst feelings in my mind and my heart. I become crazy, I want to smash. I texted them about that. I hope and trust that Dana and Hunter are going to take care of me.”
Costa (16-4) moved up to light heavyweight for UFC 327.
“N word please … even with two bonuses he probably still made more than me,” Hokit wrote on X. “LOL I took a big risk but now I’m gonna reap the reward with my next contract.”
