Only seven months ago, Lennart Karl made his senior debut for Bayern Munich as a substitute against Auckland City in the FIFA Club World Cup. Since that moment, Karl has lit the football world on fire with seven goals and three assists. Ironically, Karl has only played one full match for Bayern.
Over the holiday break, Karl found himself in hot water after admitting that Real Madrid is his dream club. Amidst the first rough patch of his young career, scoring only once in his last seven appearances,
Karl is not letting the pressure overwhelm him.
Whether Bayern Munich or Real Madrid is his destiny, Karl has a clear short-term goal on his mind.
“Finishing school is definitely part of it; that would take it off my mind,” said Karl (via @iMiaSanMia). “I also want to get my driver’s license and have my own car when I turn 18; that will make everything easier. On the pitch, I simply want to consistently perform well.”
At the end of the day, Karl is like any other teenager who just wants a little independence and to finish school. Karl turns 18 next month and Audi should be able to handle his car situation just fine.
