According to Diario AS, one of Real Madrid Castilla’s brightest prospects has changed representation, leaving Stellar to join Best of You as he prepares for what could be a defining preseason under Jose Mourinho.
Palacios is determined to earn a place in the first team. With Dani Ceballos gone and Real Madrid no longer pursuing the return of Nico Paz, the 21-year-old believes there is a genuine opportunity to establish himself in Mourinho’s squad.
Palacios, whose contract expires next summer, will
take part in preseason with the senior side. A return to Castilla is no longer considered an option.
The midfielder has attracted interest from clubs across Europe’s top five leagues, including Athletic Club and several Premier League sides. Former Real Madrid manager Alvaro Arbeloa, now at Fulham, could also offer a potential pathway if Palacios leaves Spain.
However, AS reports that the player’s priority remains convincing Mourinho.
The attacking midfielder enjoyed his breakthrough under Arbeloa, making seven first-team appearances across La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League.
Real Madrid reportedly remain convinced of Palacios’ long-term potential. Should he leave, the club would likely structure any deal similarly to those involving Nico Paz or Víctor Muñoz, retaining significant control over his future.
