The New Orleans Saints have reshaped their offense this offseason, but one notable veteran remains available on the free-agent market. According to Bleacher Report, the Saints stand out as the best potential landing spot for six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Keenan Allen.
The biggest reason for that connection is Saints head coach Kellen Moore. Moore and Allen spent the 2023 season together with the Los Angeles Chargers, where Moore served as offensive coordinator and Allen posted one of the best years
of his career, hauling in 108 receptions for 1,243 yards and seven touchdowns despite appearing in just 13 games.
For New Orleans, the 34-year-old would provide a different element than what’s already on the roster. Chris Olave remains the Saints’ top explosive playmaker, while first-round rookie Jordyn Tyson adds another dynamic weapon to the unit. Allen could thrive as an over the middle target and trusted third-down option, giving Tyler Shough a proven veteran capable of consistently moving the chains and creating separation in critical situations.
The Saints have already invested heavily in surrounding Shough with talent, and bringing in Allen would further strengthen a revamped offense while reuniting him with the coach who helped oversee one of the most productive seasons of his career. Whether New Orleans ultimately makes the move remains to be seen, but the familiarity between Allen and Moore makes the Saints a logical destination as training camp approaches.
