While your Miami Hurricanes beat Ole Miss 31—27 in the Vrbo Fiesta Bowl yesterday to advance to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game, they don’t have an opponent
yet. They will after this last game of the night.
In the other Semifinal at the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, the #5 seed Oregon Ducks face the #1 seed Indiana Hoosiers. These teams, Big 10 conference foes, faced off at Autzen Stadium in Eugene, OR on October 11th, with Indiana earning a 30-20 victory over the homestanding Ducks. They look to repeat that result and earn a berth into the National Championship Game against Miami.
This is a heavyweight matchup with the 2nd spot in the National Championship Game on the line. There are plenty of storylines for the Championship Game either way, and I can’t wait to see which way this shakes out. I personally don’t have any rooting interest or preference in this game. But I am ready to use this as advanced scouting for Miami’s next opponent, the one they’ll face with a Championship on the line.
