Throughout the offseason, SB Nation will host NFL fan surveys, sponsored by FanDuel Sportsbook. For Pride of Detroit, we are tasked with fielding questions from Detroit Lions fans, and as we head into Week 3 of the 2026 NFL season, we have two questions for fans this week:

After a disappointing game against the Bills, the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook believe Detroit will rebound in Week 3 and have set the betting line at Lions -6.5 points.
The Lions (1-1) and Jets (1-1) each won their opening game
but are coming off disappointing Week 2 losses. Detroit faced a handful of issues against Buffalo—short week, injuries, etc.—but the game was lost due to an abundance of mental mistakes. Meanwhile, New York relinquished a late lead over Green Bay, went to overtime, and then saw their own mental errors bite them in the end.
Most of the Lions’ success in 2026 has come on the offensive side of the ball, while the Jets’ defense has been their calling card, setting up a battle of strengths this Sunday.
