Another week of the NFL season is in the books, and it was one that saw multiple former Arizona Wildcats excel in the pros. Here’s a roundup of how former Wildcats fared in Week 3.
Tyler Loop, K, Baltimore Ravens
Loop redeemed himself in the eyes of Ravens fans by kicking a game-winning 56-yard field goal to beat the Dallas Cowboys 34-31 in the NFL Rio Game.
Loop entered the season feeling the heat after missing a field goal in the Ravens’ 2025 season finale that would have sent the team to the playoffs.
The 25-year-old Loop maintained
the Ravens’ starting job through fall camp, and on Sunday night he proved to the team that he deserves to be their kicker of the future. That the game-winner came against the Cowboys probably made it extra special for the north Texas native.

Genesis Smith, S, Los Angeles Chargers
The first weeks of the NFL season have been a nightmare for Chargers fans, but Smith has emerged as one of the few bright spots. The rookie safety popped on Sunday, recording not one but two interceptions off Buffalo quarterback Josh Allen in an eventual 24-16 Bills win.
The second interception was the result of a sensational play by Smith, who turned his body around just in time to come down with the pick.
Smith had the highest defensive grade among all safeties this week, according to Pro Football Focus.
Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Carolina Panthers
NFL defenses are catching on to McMillan, as demonstrated by his lackluster performance against the Cleveland Browns: two receptions for 17 yards on five targets. Cleveland held on for a 21-18 win.
McMillan, who has yet to score a touchdown this season, just hasn’t been able to develop the kind of separation Arizona, and now Carolina fans, are accustomed of him. It doesn’t help that McMillan only had one of Carolina’s 28 second half targets on Sunday.
Jordan Morgan, OL, Green Bay Packers
Morgan played his best game of the season on Thursday Night Football, earning a 71.5 grade from PFF, the third-best on the Packers offense. Unfortunately for Green Bay, not a lot else went right offensively in a 35-14 loss to Atlanta.
Morgan has secured the left tackle position on Green Bay’s beaten up offensive line.
Nick Folk, K, Atlanta Falcons
Folk made a pair of field goals, including a long of 44 yards, in the Falcons’ win over Green Bay. Folk moved into a tie for 10th all time for most made field goals, matching Jason Elam and Sebastian Janikowski at 436.
Jacob Cowing, WR/ST, San Francisco 49ers
Cowing got a pair of targets in San Francisco’s 36-30 win over the Arizona Cardinals. The wide receiver’s biggest value for the Niners is on special teams, where he occasionally returns punts. Cowing had a seven yard return on Sunday.
Roy Lopez, DL, Arizona Cardinals
Lopez appeared in 34 snaps for the Cardinals in their loss to San Francisco. He earned a 65.7 PFF grade, fifth-best on the Cardinals defense.
Jacory Croskey-Merritt, RB, Washington Commanders
Croskey-Merritt struggled to gain traction in Washington’s 33-31 win over Seattle, rushing for 36 yards on 19 carries. He also had one reception for seven yards.
Jonah Savaiinaea, OL, Miami Dolphins
Big Jonah played all 73 offensive snaps for the Dolphins in their 24-10 loss to Kansas City. He recorded a 56.2 PFF grade.
Treydan Stukes, S, Las Vegas Raiders
Stukes missed the Raiders’ game against the New Orleans Saints due to a concussion he suffered in Week 2 vs. the Chargers. Stukes is expected to be back this week as the 3-0 Raiders host the 3-0 Chiefs in Las Vegas.
The Raiders have yet to use Stukes’ former college teammate Dalton Johnson.
