Yesterday was not a great sports day for the Huskers as women’s basketball and baseball both lost games. Hopefully today will be a better showing as Nebrasketball takes on another ranked opponent in Iowa.
In Olympics news the USA won gold in monobob when Elana Meyers Taylor beat the German leader by .02 seconds. and American Kaillie Humphries brought home the bronze. Meyers Taylor is one of the most decorated Winter Olympians for the US and this was her first gold.

Also, have you seen the speed skating relay? It’s insane, the number of athletes on the ice at a time just skating around at a high speed and switching skaters every three laps. I don’t know how they have the coordination to do that. I certainly wouldn’t.
And finally the US Women’s Hockey team is in the gold medal match against Canada. The USA hasn’t allowed a goal all olympics.
