I think a lot of people were pretty bullish on the Packers’ passing offense this year. With Jordan Love entering year four as the Packers’ starting quarterback, Tucker Kraft back from his torn ACL, and Christian Watson, Jayden Reed, and Matthew Golden making up a revamped wide receiver corps, things looked promising.
Through five games, “promising” looks like an understatement.
Even without Jayden Reed for most of the season (or for the rest of the season, for that matter), the Packers’ aerial attack
has hardly missed a beat. In Week 5, they beat the Bears like a drum, slicing through their secondary en route to Jordan Love putting up the best passing performance any quarterback has ever posted against the Bears at Lambeau Field.
The central idea of the Packers’ passing attack, more or less, seems to have worked, and over the past few weeks it’s become clear that if the Packers protect Jordan Love, he’ll deliver.
The plan hinges on the offensive line staying healthy, though, and if the first few weeks of the season are any indication, that’s hardly a guarantee. But the Packers have added more talent on the line, and if Kevin Zeitler can be an upgrade at right guard, they’ll be in even better shape.
So far so good, though, and the Watson/Golden combo looks like it’s just getting started.

Packers discussion in the Feed
Dani Dennis-Sutton has been excellent the past couple of weeks. As the first person to respond to this post says, it’s hard to believe he fell to Day 3 of the 2026 NFL Draft, but the Packers were happy to scoop him up.
