DeAndre Hopkins was recently lamenting his lack of redzone targets with the Baltimore Ravens last season, and it made me wonder if the Los Angeles Rams could use someone like that on their team for their own redzone success.
Davantae Adams led the NFL in receiving scores last year, and for now he’s still with the Rams, but he also missed time in 2025. Could Hopkins be a viable option for the Rams if they are concerned about any injury to Adams? It’s a thought.
If nothing else, and it should be worth
watching to see if and when Hopkins does sign with a team. Who knows, it could be the Rams for the right price (though I haven’t heard any such rumor). Just reading some tea leaves for fun.
I’d wager that Hopkins for sure would like to play with Matthew Stafford and the Rams, but I could be wrong. I think Sean McVay would be interested in seeing what Hopkins could do in his offense, but maybe not.
So, just speculation for fun on a Hump Day.

All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins Blasts Ravens Offense on Social Media (heavy.com)
“Hopkins took a flamethrower to Baltimore’s offense in his response.
“How many times after this do you think I was used in the red zone?” Hopkins wrote on his official X account. “When targeted I’m still one of the most productive but never complained with my snaps & never will. Facts!”
Colts trade rumor could receive interest from Raiders, Rams, Lions, Jets (sportingnews.com)
“The Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, Detroit Lions, and New York Jets could be among the teams interested in trading for Richardson.
Los Angeles and Detroit need to find a backup quarterback behind their starting signal-callers, Matthew Stafford for the Rams and Jared Goff for the Lions.
Richardson would be a solid option for both squads, and it would give him the opportunity to learn from a veteran signal-caller.“
Three Storylines That Will Decide the Rams’ Offseason (si.com)
“Players include Puka Nacua, Steve Avila, Byron Young, Kobie Turner, Warren McClendon Jr, Ethan Evans, and others. Plus, Emmanuel Forbes was a part of the same class as the Rams picked up the Washington Commanders’ rookie deal when Forbes was waived. Forbes does have a fifth-year option that the Rams must decide on this season.”
Random Ramsdom Fandom:
“I have been all over the notion of moving up and drafting Sonny Styles from Ohio State. My Bad. I watched more tape and he’s fundamentally unsound in terms of tackling.
He tackles too high, doesn’t lower his shoulders, and drags his feet rather than drive. He plays finesse more than violent and physical.
With his skill set, he’s more suited for a safety than a LB, but he will need some work at the next level. Starting to think he will fall out of the top 10.
He switched to LB as a junior to help the team and it would have been a better career move to stay at safety.
He has a lot of skills, but not really strong enough to play at LB.
When he gets to the next level, a team will have to be patient with him to develop and grow, but I would not be surprised if they move him to safety which would be his natural position.“ -Undercover07
