Bayern Munich is officially starting the second half of the season, with matchdays 18 to 34 set to be played over the coming months. After a stern test away to FC Koln, the Bavarians now travel north to RB Leipzig who are sitting in third place in the Bundesliga. One may think that the 6-0 win in the reverse fixture knocked the wind out of their sails, but the Lawnballers have roared into life and are having a solid season so far.
Bayern’s attack is feared by defenders across the nation and in Europe
but with Champions League football on the line, Leipzig want everything from this match. For Bayern, it’s about making a statement and establishing authority over the league, something they’ve done many times up to this point.
There’s good news coming our way, because Jamal Musiala is now back with the team! Whether he gets playing time today is out of our hands, but we can certainly hope that Bayern gets the job done early so the 22-year-old can stretch his muscles a bit.
