It’s here, Georgia Tech’s conference schedule for 2026 was officially unveiled the evening of January 26 after four games were already known (Colorado/Tennessee/Mercer/georgia).
Tech’s complete schedule comes out as such. In a true miracle, Tech does not have a single game where their opponent will have a rest advantage.
Week 0: bye
September 5: vs. Colorado (this game could be moved up to Thursday, September 3)
September 12: vs. Tennessee (Tech could have a two day rest advantage if the Colorado game is moved up)
September 19: vs. Mercer
September 26: @ Stanford
Bye week
October 10: vs. Duke (both teams will be coming off a bye)
October 17: @ Virginia Tech
October 24: vs. Boston College
October 31: @ Pittsburgh
November 7: vs. Louisville
November 14: @ Clemson
November 21: vs. Wake Forest (will be Wake’s second consecutive road game)
November 28: @ georgia (for once, they play a real opponent the week before. @ South Carolina)
Other notes via Georgia Tech’s press release
- Colorado will be coming to Tech for the first time in matchup history where they will have to reckon with the fact Bobby Dodd Stadium is the only stadium with an accurate representation of who won the 1990 National Championship (we may have added extra detail to that sentence).
- The Stanford game is Tech’s first against an ACC expansion team since the addition of Cal, SMU, and Stanford.
Another major thing to note is that Tech plays eight straight games after the Stanford game. Depth will most certainly be challenged no matter what at all positions.
If we were to point to a single stretch of games that could define where Tech lands in December, it’s the Oct 31-Nov 14 stretch of Pitt, Louisville, and Clemson. Two very tough road games where if Tech comes out 2-1, something likely will be going very right with the team.
Road trip potential: This is nowhere near as friendly of a road trip friendly season as last year. After having three games in North Carolina, Tech has only one road game against a team in a state bordering Georgia (COFH excluded). Clemson is always the easiest drive (save for the day the MARTA Bowl returns), so hopefully our season is in a good spot come Week 12 and fans are willing to go. The early season trip to Palo Alto for Stanford is certainly the most fun option and will be a rare opportunity for the thousands of alumni in California to get a chance to see the Jackets in their own state.
