Good Thursday morning, TSFers! Once again, it’s almost the weekend and that is always cause for celebration. It’s been a busy few weeks in my household with celebrations and guests, which is lovely, but we’ve got very little on the schedule for Saturday and Sunday and I’m thrilled. Speaking of celebrations, apparently it’s time to get ready for Christmas. At least according to Arsenal!
To be fair, it’s an excellent video. I’m certain that as I watch it again, I’ll notice more references to last season
and the celebrations. Colin Firth, who I think I knew supports the club, doing a nod to his Love Actually performance is fun, too.
But c’mon, folks. It’s November 5th (remember, remember). There are 49 days until Christmas. The Christmas candy should not be on display in the grocery store (it’s on display in my grocery store). The Halloween decorations are still up on some of the houses in the neighborhood (like mine) and the garland and wreaths are going up. The holiday creep is too much! And I say that as someone who really enjoys the holiday time.
As I write that, I remember that just because it isn’t for me doesn’t mean it isn’t for everybody. Don’t yuck someone else’s yum, Aaron. If I had my way, we’d wait a bit longer to pivot towards Christmas, but if you’re ready, go right ahead!
