I’m happy for Jeffery Simmons. Playing in his first primetime game since 2023, Simmons made his impact felt right away. On the Seattle Seahawks fourth offensive snap of the game, Big Jeff got his first sack as a member of the Chicago Bears. Talk about a return on your investment. Simmons gets to play meaningful football for the first time in a long time. That has to be fun for him.
I’m also happy that he will now get the respect he deserves around the league. It was funny last night watching how many
people were surprised at just how good he is. We, as fans of the Tennessee Titans, have known that for a long time. Now, the rest of the nation will really understand. You can bet he will be a whole lot higher than the ridiculous 83rd on the NFL Top 100 next year.
Hopefully, this ends well for all parties involved. Simmons is already making an impact for the Bears. It will be up to Mike Borgonzi to turn the picks he got from Chicago into players that are the foundation of the rebuild for the Titans.
