One of the most notable transfer affairs Bayern Munich have seen itself involved in recent weeks is the alleged intent of Real Madrid to sign Bayern and France national team star Michael Olise. Reports have recently alleged that Real’s president was determined to bring Olise to the Santiago Bernabéu, which would have rubbed Bayern’s higher ups the wrong way, even causing one of them to allegedly give a direct and equally hilarious response to Madrid’s offer, as well as eliciting Bayern Munich president Herbert
Hainer to advise Pérez to “save himself the trouble.”
Well, in a recent interview with Abendzeitung (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Hainer doubled down on his stance, reiterating that Olise is not on sale. “As I’ve said before, if Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez had that [a bid] in mind, he can save himself the trouble, because we don’t want to sell Michael,” declared the Bayern boss.
Hainer went a step further and revealed that Real Madrid itself had reached out to Bayern to distance itself from the rumors. “As FC Bayern, we have a very good relationship with Real Madrid, and accordingly they contacted me to say that, firstly, they have absolutely no contact with Michael Olise and, secondly, they don’t want these constant speculations in the media,” reaffirming the clubs’ alleged pact of no aggression.
