Josh Hokit is about to fight for the UFC heavyweight title, and perhaps, is looking to get his rap career off the ground as well.
In one of the craziest stories of 2026, Hokit went from unranked to Madison Square Garden championship headliner as he faces Ciryl Gane for the belt at UFC 334, which takes place Nov. 14 and streams on Paramount+.
Ahead of “The Incredible Hok’s” first world title fight, he dropped a video for his song “MSG Freestyle,” and revealed his rap name to be J-Word. You can check
out the full video above, courtesy of Hokit’s YouTube channel.
The song targets not only Gane, but also former heavyweight champions Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall, along with recent rivals Alex Pereira and Ilia Topuria.
After earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series in August 2025, Hokit picked up stoppage wins over Max Gimenis and — to begin his 2026 campaign — Denzel Freeman as a sizable favorite. The UFC then put Hokit in a matchup with past title challenger Curtis Blaydes, where Hokit delivered an eye-opening performance in one of the greatest heavyweight fights in company history, earning a unanimous decision victory at UFC 327 in April.
Less then 90 minutes later, Hokit was already booked for UFC White House against Derrick Lewis, where Hokit earned a second-round TKO win.
Gane also competed on the White House card where he stopped Alex Pereira to win the interim heavyweight title. Following Tom Aspinall vacating the undisputed title, Gane was bumped up to actual champion.
