In welcome news for most Liverpool FC fans, Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that goalkeeper Alisson Becker will be left out of his squad for November’s international friendlies against Japan and Singapore. Instead, the Italian coach named Bento, Lucas Perri, and Coritiba youngster Morisco as his three goalkeepers.
At the press conference where he announced his squad, Ancelotti confirmed that Alisson was still his number one.
“We don’t need to test Alisson, we know him very well. He’s
the best goalkeeper.”
“When the Copa America starts, he’ll be called up. Like Alisson, all the others will be.”
Alisson will avoid the trip to my homeland, Singapore, while Brazil will get to audition its backup goalkeepers against Japan and Singapore. Win-win for all.
