Summary: The longtime Michigan State commit gave Sparty the stiff-arm in late December and signed with the Cards this past January as a big time pick up in the secondary, who also split time on offense in high school.
Vann is packing a frame that has laid some massive hits in his high school playing days, and that heat seeking mindset could set up Vann to have some nice flexibility on defense at the collegiate
level. If he’s not playing safety, I think he could be a nickel corner, and if not playing there he could even find space in the hybrid CARD/STAR position the Cards also play from time to time. My opinion is that heading into Fall camp Vann is likely not going to see significant time in 2026 with the veteran group they have back there, but could get some special teams opportunities because he’s not afaird to make contact when called upon. I think he can be a nice piece for Ivey and Ellis in the next couple seasons. Check out Vann from last year below.
