On a recent episode of Something to Wrestle with John Layfield
, JBL talked about not wanting to give any advice to Danhausen while he’s having so much success in WWE right now. It’s worth giving him a shout for what he says here too:“The NBA loves this guy, and for good reason. He’s really talented, he’s good at what he does. I don’t want to give him any advice. Sometimes young guys will come to me for advice. I don’t understand the Danhausen character, I kind of have some thoughts about it, but
he’s doing so great. You don’t want to give advice and then they take your advice and get themselves out of what their thought process was that got them over.”
Holy shit, someone who gets it!
WWE has a long history of taking an act that gets over organically, beating it into the ground in all the wrong ways, and sucking all the life out of it. This right here is a great example of a wider attitude they should adopt when it comes to an act like him.
Just let go of the wheel and let it ride.
Credit to JBL here, and let’s hope others jump on board with the philosophy.
