Summer signing Vivien Endemann has had a dream start at Liverpool, and the striker’s opening three matches have seen her make Women’s Super League history.
Endemann has scored and assisted in two of the three opening matches, a feat never accomplished before. As a newcomer to English football more broadly and to the WSL specifically, Endemann has shown that her skillset is a good match for these new challenges.
The German international is a major reason why Liverpool FC Women have had such a promising
start this season, particularly in comparison to struggles last year. Scoring has thus far not been an issue for the Reds, who managed two goals even in the loss to last year’s WSL champions and current leaders, Manchester City. Liverpool have scored seven goals thus far this season, and will hope to shore up the defense to mount a real challenge this season.
That Endemann has had a hand in four of the seven goals speaks to her immediate impact. The home Merseyside Derby is next up for the Reds, who face Everton on Sunday, September 27th at Anfield.
