Amru Magomedov, the former UAE Warriors lightweight champion, is set to make his PFL debut at the upcoming card in Dubai on Feb. 7.
A protégé training under former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Magomedov was one of the top prospects available when the PFL snatched him up recently and signed the 26-year-old fighter to a deal. Now Magomedov is set to meet Kolton Englund at 155 pounds at the PFL Dubai card in February.
Magomedov is joining his teammate and training partner Usman Nurmagomedov, who
headlines the card in the main event as he defends his PFL lightweight title against 2025 tournament champion Alfie Davis.
In nine professional fights, Magomedov has only gone to decision twice with a blistering combination of knockouts and submissions decorating the rest of his resume.
Most recently, Magomedov dispatched UFC veteran Alex da Silva with a brutal body kick that led to a first round finish for the Russian.
Now Magomedov looks to make waves in the PFL with Englund attempting to pull off the upset as he joins the promotion on a six-fight win streak of his own after coming up short from signing with the UFC after an appearance on The Contender Series in 2021.
Magomedov vs. Englund is the latest addition to the PFL Dubai card with the event also featuring the return of Dakota Ditcheva in a fight against Bellator veteran Denise Kielholz while Ramazan Kuramagomedov meets Shamil Musaev in the co-main event to crown the first PFL welterweight champion.
