Coming off their 31 point victory over Evansville, Purdue returns to Mackey Arena for a game against Oakland. This will be another tuneup game, no offense Oakland I love bears!, before next week’s big
matchup on Thursday against Alabama. As of this writing there has been no official word on if TKR will be back in the starting lineup or if he will be out once again. And then, if he’s being held out is it for precautionary reasons or is there something bigger going on? Let’s hope he gets back in the game tonight and Purdue fans can see their starting five back to full force.
This game will also be a bit of a measuring stick as Oakland’s only opponent so far this season is fellow Big Ten team, and challenger for early season Big Ten crown speculation, Michigan. The Wolverines took down the Golden Grizzlies by a score of 121-78 on Monday. You can read all about Oakland in Casey’s preview. For now though, let’s figure out which service and or channel you’ll need to watch this one. I know it can get confusing these days.
Who: #1 Purdue vs. #9 Kentucky
When: Friday, November 7, 2025 – 7:00 p.m. ET
Where: West Lafayette, IN – Mackey Arena – Capacity – 14,240
TV: Peacock
Purdue Radio: Purdue Global Radio Network (Rob Blackman, Bobby Riddell)
A little bit of a better start time than the 6:30 tipoff we had for Evansville in my opinion. Also, for those looking to get your free wings at The Tap due to the missed free throws, those expire today so maybe head on over there for the game if you don’t have Peacock. Just a thought. No matter where you’re watching from make sure to lock into Hammer and Rails open thread to chat with your favorite commenters.
