Notre Dame finally has their man. Next up from the transfer portal for the Irish is Alabama defensive end Keon Keeley.
Keon Keeley is well known by Notre Dame fans as the talented former 5-Star prospect from Florida was once committed to the Irish before changing his mind and signing with the Alabama Crimson Tide in 2024. In 19 games with Alabama, Keeley tallied just 19 tackles and 3
sacks while playing a backup role for a talented Crimson Tide defense.
The loss of Josh Burnham to the portal makes Keeley’s addition to this year’s roster very important. While the Irish do have talent on the edge, Keeley is one of those strongside players that can shift inside when needed with his 6’5” 285 pound frame. If you think Keeley hasn’t reached his potential just yet — you’re probably right, and new Notre Dame defensive line coach, Chris Partridge, is one of the best in the business to do just that.
This is a massive win for Notre Dame both on the field, and one of those big wins to overcome a past loss.
Welcome to Notre Dame Keon!
