According
to News 4’s Don Harris, the Spurs big man has ventured into cartoons with “Alien Dunk,” an animated sci-fi series.
Variety published an article stating,
PGS Entertainment is producing, as well as handling international licensing on ‘Alien Dunk’ which is being developed as a franchise also spanning publishing, video games and interactive experiences.
Wembanyama added,
“Seeing myself animated is an incredible experience, and it brings together two things I love: basketball and space, the most exciting part is creating a universe for kids to enjoy, filled with fun, imagination, and inspiration for young fans all over the world.”
Wemby has been involved throughout the creative process, joining creative the production team and participating in a motion capture shoot designed to reproduce his posture and movement.
Yann Labasque, TF1 Group’s head of youth programming, stated,
“This series promises our young audience incredible adventures filled with action, sport, and science-fiction in a very rich and exciting universe. Victor Wembanyama, the ambassador of the series, is an iconic figure in global basketball, who embodies the values of dynamism and inspiration that we aim to convey to our TF1 viewers.”
No date for the series was released, but keep posted for updates.
