The Detroit Lions have declared their inactives ahead of their 2025 Week 2 matchup with the Chicago Bears, and despite not practicing all week, the Lions’ starting left tackle, Taylor Decker, is active and expected to start.
Decker has been working through a shoulder injury this week, and coach Dan Campbell said the team was opting not to practice him, as they were trying “to buy him some time here, to where he feels better.” The extra time appeared to be just what the veteran tackle needed, and he looks
like he’ll be healthy enough to play in this divisional rivalry game.
Kerby Joseph, who showed up on Friday’s injury report as a limited participant, is also active and expected to start, despite being listed as questionable. Joseph has been nursing a knee injury for the majority of training camp, but the Lions have done a good job of managing his practice exposure, and it’s helped keep him ready for game days.
