One of the last remaining card-carrying members of Chelsea’s Bomb Squad is veteran defender Axel Disasi, who’s been surplus to requirements for two of the three years he’s been on the books, and has been trying to engineer an exit for at least the last 18 months.
So far, he’s only managed two half-season loans, first to Aston Villa, then to West Ham United. Unfortunately, neither had wanted to keep him — though maybe the situation would’ve been different had West Ham managed to stay up.
Back to square
one then once again.
There remains just one possible resolution to this situation, and that’s what everyone’s working on, according to the BBC. Per their report, both sides have “agreed a permanent exit would suit all parties this summer after the latest round of talks”.
Obvious news is obvious.
But obviously, that’s easier said than done. The report adds that two Premier League clubs and one in Italy have registered interest in the 28-year-old center back, who has three years left on his contract.
Let’s get to wheeling and dealing!
