On Monday morning, Green Bay Packers defensive star Micah Parsons shared on his Instagram that he was heading into surgery to repair his torn ACL. The Athletic’s Matt Schneidman shared a screenshot of
Parsons’ Instagram Story on Twitter/X.
Parsons tore his ACL in the Packers’ Week 15 loss to the Denver Broncos and his absence has been notable, given the Packers’ defense has recorded just 1 sack for 0 yards since his injury. The team has suffered brutal back-to-back-to-back losses, including an overtime loss to the Chicago Bears and a loss to the Baltimore Ravens this past week which saw the defense gave up over 400 yards of offense, including 216 rushing yards to RB Derrick Henry, who also scored 4 touchdowns.
Parsons is just one on a long list of starters the Packers have lost to season-ending injuries, including TE Tucker Kraft (torn ACL), OL Elgton Jenkins (broken ankle), and DL Devonte Wyatt (fractured ankle).
Parsons played in 15 games for the Packers in 2025 and recorded 41 tackles, 12.5 sacks, and 2 forced fumbles.
Earlier in the day, Parsons also shared on Twitter/X that his Week 1 sack against the Detroit Lions was the loudest stadium eruption he had ever heard. Guess he was feeling a little nostalgic before heading into surgery!
While his recovery timeline is still up in the air for now, Parsons himself posted a few weeks ago that he’s aiming for a September return. Fingers crossed!
