FanDuel Odds & Thoughts
Boise State/Nevada: -21.5 Broncos, O/U 50.5
- The last of a longtime rivalry for the foreseeable future places the Broncos as a heavy favorite. Nevada has lost 14 consecutive conference games, but the defense is one of the best in the conference, and this is a rivalry game where weird things tend to happen.
Utah State/New Mexico: -2.5 Lobos, O/U 61.5
- A surprising line, the Aggies explosive offense would seem to be the difference between the two teams but expect tension to be high in Albuquerque as the Lobos host Bronco Mendenhall, who infamously coached New Mexico for one season in 2024 before leaving for Utah State.
San Diego State/Fresno State: -2.5 Aztecs, O/U 48.5
- A rare day game kickoff in Fresno sees two rivals facing off. The Aztecs might be the best team in the Mountain West through eight weeks, but the oddsmakers are projecting a close contest. A turnover probably breaks the near tie between the two.
Colorado State/Wyoming: -5.5 Cowboys, O/U 46.5
- The last Bronze Boot game in cold-ish weather for the foreseeable future. Realignment really sucks. The rivalry will resume, but likely in September going forward. Colorado State just fired Jay Norvell. Wyoming changed offensive coordinators. These variables added to the rivalry factor make this the most volatile matchup of the week.
