After a bumpy 2-week stretch where we went 1-5, we bounced back last week with a 3-0 performance to even our record at 6-6 on the year. Far more respectable than the heinous 3-6 record we were sitting at heading into the Jets game.
The Chicago Bears head north of the border to face the Green Bay Packers this week in the first matchup of the year between these two rival franchises. How will we fare this week? Here are the three props we like this week. As always, lines courtesy of FanDuel.
D’Andre Swift OVER 82.5 Rushing Yards -114
This is quite
a big number for Swift, but I think he has another 100+ yard day on the ground. Kyle Monangai is going to miss this game, and I think it sets up for the Chicago Bears to want to establish their will on another team and dominate the run game, and Swift should see north of 20 carries this week. Yes, Roschon Johnson will see a handful of carries, but I don’t think Ben Johnson will play on using him for 15 carries like he would Monangai. I think Swift is out to prove that the fumble issue is behind him, and he will run hard and run for a big day.
Marshawn Lloyd UNDER 27.5 Rushing Yards -114
The Packers’ offensive line is a mess, and it’s made their running game nonexistent. The Bears have shown that they will give up some rushing yards, but it’s been trending in a direction that Kaleb Johnson is the far more effective back and Lloyd, well, just isn’t. Lloyd has averaged 2.8, 3.3, 2.8, and 1.9 rushing yards in each of his 4 games and hasn’t gone above 20 yards since week 1. Johnson will get the carries; Lloyd will see 5 to 10 carries and won’t average more than about 3 yards per carry. This number should go under.
Luther Burden OVER 46.5 Receiving Yards -114
Burden has gone over 60 yards in three of his four games this season. The only game he was under 60 yards was the slop fest in Minnesota. This number feels off. Last week with Bagent, he had 63 yards and was targeted 6 times. With a struggling Packers defense, I think Burden finds room to run and finds a couple of explosive plays as well. I don’t think he pushes for 100 yards or anything, but another 60- to 70-yard output seems pretty inevitable.
