PFF gives Saints offense a ratings boost

Of course, the true grade of any free agency period comes in the games that follow later in the year. But it doesn’t hurt to see PFF has labeled the New Orleans Saints offense as one of its most improved units post free agency.

Among the moves made on offense – including running back Travis Etienne Jr and guard David Edwards – are established NFL pros who promise to instantly fill gaps in the roster and make the team

better.

So it’s no surprise that Mickey Loomis’ spending has paid dividends, at least on paper.

“Addressing the run game was a dire need for the Saints,” say PFF. “But their run blocking grade was also 31st in the NFL.”

The names above address such holes in an immense way. No wonder the unit is among the league’s most improved for PFF.
