Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the MLB. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in White Sox fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
This time out, we’re asking you to imagine what free-agent plum Muretaka Murakami will look like on the field for the White Sox in 2026. Despite being the “Japanese Babe Ruth,” Mune is not neither an outfielder nor pitcher like the Babe was. However, he has played the corner infield
spots, and given his mediocre defense a designated hitter slot will always be available to him as well.
The White Sox will work Murakami out at third base and first, and do their diligence to see where the slugger best slots. Where are you leaning as you envision our prize free agent acquisition taking the field?
