The Philadelphia Eagles released Gabe Hall from their practice squad, according to an official team announcement.
This news comes as a surprise from the standpoint that Hall had some good moments in training camp and the preseason. He seemed like a good depth option to have around at defensive tackle.
This news is less surprising from the standpoint that the Eagles were looking to free up some spots on the practice squad. They’re reportedly set to add veterans Zach Ertz and Kenny Moore II to the team
in some capacity, whether that’s on the practice squad or the roster.
Speaking of which, the Eagles do still have an open spot on the active roster.
The Eagles are also set to have two open practice squad spots with Hall being released and Robert Longerbeam expected to be poached away by the Atlanta Falcons.
