Last week, Las Vegas Raiders general manager Jon Spytek noted that there were plenty of former players still playing. Now , as the playoffs move onto the divisional round, let’s look at the former Raiders still playing, presented in alphabetical order:
Buffalo Bills:
None.
Chicago Bears:
Defensive tackle Andrew Billings.
Billings is a Bears’ backup who started 14 games for the Raiders in 2022. He signed with Chicago as a free agent in 2023.
Denver Broncos:
Quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
The backup played for
the Raiders in 2o22 and signed with the Broncos in 2023.
Houston Texans:
Defensive end Denico Autry, Tackle Trent Brown, tight end Harrison Bryant.
Autry is a backup. He played for the Raiders from 2014-17 after being undrafted. Brown started seven games this season. He was a high-dollar free-agent signing for the Raiders in 2019. His tenure there didn’t go well. Bryant is a deep backup. He spent 2024 with the Raiders as a free agent. He signed with the Eagles in March and then was traded to Houston.
Los Angeles Rams:
Wide receiver Davante Adams, quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo.
Adams is a major part of the Rams’ offense and is playing well in his first season there. Adams had an infamous entire for the Raiders from 2022-24 when the team traded for him and then shipped him out less than three years late. In the end, his time in Las Vegas isn’t looked upon fondly by many. Garoppolo spent one rocky season with the Raiders, in 2023.
New England Patriots:
Tight end Austin Hooper, tackle Thayer Munford, linebackers K’Lavon Chaisson and Robert Spillane.
Hooper is a backup. He was a backup for the Raiders in 2023. Munford was a seventh0rround pick by the Raiders and he played there from 2022-24. He signed with the Patriots this season, reuniting with former Raiders’ head coach Josh McDaniels, who is the Patriots’ offensive coordinator this year after being released. Chaisson played 15 games with the Raiders last season and he signed with New England this offseason. He has been a key contributor. Spillane, who the Raiders’ signed in free agency in 2023, signed in free agency with the Patriots in 2025. He is a big part of the New England defense. He is under contract for two more seasons.
San Francisco 49ers:
Defensive end Clelin Ferrell.
He was the No. 4 overall draft pick by the Raiders in 2019. He had an underwhelming tenure there from 2019-2o22. He is a deep backup for the 49ers.
Seattle Seahawks:
Linebacker Drake Thomas.
He never made the Raiders’ roster as an undrafted free agent in 2023. After a strong preseason, the Seahawks claimed him off waivers and he has become a lynchpin of the the Seattle defense this season.
