The CFP is out of the picture, but Illinois needs a win in the worst way.

Illinois opened Sunday as a 12.5-point
favorite over the Scarlet Knights. The moneyline for the Illini is -465, while the over/under is 62.5, so we’re looking at something in the range of a 37-25 win.
I think it’s generous for the Illini with the way Illinois’ defense has been performing, allowing nearly 40 points per game in Big Ten play.
But Illinois has won all three games this season when it’s been the moneyline favorite, so maybe this is a good sign.
Worth noting that Illinois fell out of the AP Top 25 on Sunday — and it may take a lot for them to get back in there this season (like four straight wins to close out the regular season). A nine-win regular season for the second year in a row is still on the table!
